I’m not sure where this was taken in Edmonton, but I love the framing and the contrast of the dark railing and the light concrete.

Fort Edmonton Park puts on an event called Spooktacular every year at Halloween, and this is one of the photos I took last year. I like the creepy blue light and the shadows of the people on the street: very atmospheric. For a couple of years I volunteered with the event, and always had a great time: these days, I’m mostly just a visitor, but if you’re looking for family fun or spooky haunted houses, definitely check out their event!

Downtown Edmonton is one of the prettiest places to be in the autumn. This was taken by me while walking from Oliver toward Downtown, on 111th Street and 102 Ave.

I love this message found painted on the stairs en route to the High Level Bridge. Not the blue, but the hastily scrawled post-script in pen underneath it.

This is one of those rare things I miss since moving to Downtown Edmonton. I used to see the Northern Lights quite often from my parent’s home in St. Albert, but the lights and tall buildings of downtown mean I haven’t seen them in quite some time.
